In September 2000, Co-Founders Terry and Tami Abraham combined their years of salon and business experience to create I Design Salon. They partnered with colorist Anthony Tuzzolino to build a team of like-minded and passionate stylists. Terry comes from a family of innovators in the hair industry for over 80 years. After college, he began his career as a hairstylist in his family’s hair salon. After moving to Naperville, he was instrumental in the growth of Zano Salons as the company’s Vice President. Passionate about the salon industry, Terry opened I Design Salon in 2000 with Tami by his side. This was the culmination of decades of hard work and valuable experience that they successfully parlayed into a first class, industry-leading salon!

In 2015, as a part of the new marketing strategy, I Design Salon was rebranded to I Design Salon & Blow Dry Bar to capitalize on the growing trend of frequent luxury Blow Dry services. 

In 2016, Rachel Barnish joined the salon to support the leadership team and soon earned a new position, Salon Director. Her role at the salon continues to evolve and grow, leading the support team and mentoring and coaching the salon staff.

In 2020, Terry and Tami became the sole owners of the salon and were able to execute a salon renovation that is luxurious, inviting, and full of the latest technology for our guests and employees, allowing us to continue leading the salon industry for decades to come.
